Lake NIAGARA FALLS Arthur Lake, 78, of Augustus Place died Thursday (July 28, 1988) at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center after a brief illness. He was a native of Lansing, and a resident of Niagara Falls for 60 years. Lake retired as a pressman several years ago after working 42 years for Moore Business Forms. He was a member of the Typographical Union, Niagara Council 247 Knights of Columbus, the Council's House Committee and St. Mary of the Cataract Catholic Church.
He was a former lector at the church and a member of the church's bingo committee. Survivors include his wife, Stella Gozdowsky Lake; four daughters, Marilyn Gratto of Grand Island, Barbara Gouin of Amesbury, Karen Klingler of Youngstown and Kathleen Boniello of Lewiston; 15 grandchildren, and five greatgrandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary of the Cataract Church, 259 Fourth after prayers at 9 in the R.L.

died Wednesday (July 27, 1988) in Veterans Hospital. A West Seneca resident, O'Connor was a retired carpenter and at the time of his death was secretary emeritus of Local 9 of the Carpenters Union. He was also commander of the Disabled American 1 Veterans District Council, past commander of DAV Chapter 113 and a member of the DAV State Employment Committee. O'Connor was also a Democratic committeeman. Surviving are a son, James P.

Mrs. Reynolds, formerly of Upper Mountain Road, died Thursday (July 28, 1988) at the Mount View Health Facility after a long illness. A longtime Lockport resident, she worked at Harrison for 35 years before retiring in 1976. She was the widow of Edward J. Reynolds.

He was an electrician for the Harrison Radiator Division of General Motors Corp. and an Air Force veteran who was active in the B. Leo Dolan Post 410, American Legion. He was a member of Local 686 of the United Auto Workers and a former member of the Niagara Falls local of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, having previously worked for Rey Electric and Miner Electric companies. He also was a past commander of the American Legion post and a past president of the William Ryan Unit Ancient Order of Hibernians.
In the American Legion, he had been equipment manager for the Color Guard and was a member of the Past Commanders Club. Tracy was a member of the Holy Name Society at St. Patrick's Church and a 20-year member of the Troop Committee of Boy Scout Troop 3, as well as a former leader of that troop. He had attended Alfred University and Canisius College. Survivors include his wife, the former Sheila Fitzgerald; three sons, Daniel of Rochester, Kevin and Jeffrey; a daughter, Theresa, with the Peace Corps in Liberia, and four brothers, Thomas of Leesburg, William Robert and John P.

Killian, 69, a Niagara Falls native and a Wyoming Avenue resident, died Wednesday (July 27, 1988) at Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, after a long illness. He also attended Niagara University. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Killian was a past president of the Niagara County Bar Association, a past judge advocate of John J. Lindhurst, 100, died Thursday (July 28, 1988) at her Ridge Road home after a long illness. Born in Cambria, she also lived in Lewiston and Ransomville before returning to Cambria.
The former Helene Jacobs asman sisted J. her Lindhurst, husband, in the managing late HerJ.W.H. Kelly Fruit Farms in Lewiston for 40 years. She was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church at North Ridge and the Lutheran Women's Missionary League.

He was a former member of the Norman K. Martin Norman K. Martin, 76, of North Tonawanda died Thursday (July 28, 1988) in DeGraff Memorial Hospital, North Tonawanda. Born in Cambria, he worked for the Union Carbide Corp. for 30 years as a millwright.
He later worked for the Niagara County Health Department. Martin was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in North Tonawanda and the Lutheran Layman League. Survivors include his wife, the former Roseanna Long; three daughters, Carol Wendt, Marian Miller and Kathie Panek, all North Tonawanda; two sons, Kenneth of Washington State and David of North Tonawanda; a sister, Luella Shipclark; a brother, Walter Martin of Niagara Falls, and 12 grandchildren. Lew-Port Pondering Another Budget Vote LEWISTON The Lewiston-Porter Central School District Board of Education will meet at 9 p.m. Sunday in the high school cafeteria to decide whether a defeated 1988 budget will be presented to voters in a special election or if the district will continue on an austerity budget. An $18.7 million spending plan was defeated by voters in May and the board later voted 4-2 to operate on an $18 million austerity plan. The board has held several work sessions in recent weeks in an attempt to revise or trim the original budget.

Juletta Weller Hughes NIAGARA FALLS Juletta Weller Hughes, 70, died Thursday (July 28, 1988) in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. Mrs. Hughes, a native of Pennsylvania, was a bookkeeper for the former John E. Burns Plumbing and Heating Co. She was a Niagara Falls resident and was a member of the Niagara Frontier African Violet Society.
She was the widow of Thomas H. Hughes Sr. Survivors include two sons, Thomas H. Jr. of Sanborn and Paul of San Diego, two daughters, Claudia Richards of San Diego and Dorothy Argona of Kenner, five grandchildren, and a greatgrandchild.
